The TriState Support Network for Families with Bipolar Children is a non-profit organization with members from New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. Our mission is to provide support, information and understanding to parents, grandparents and other relatives who are raising, under challenging circumstances,
children and teenagers with early-onset bipolar disorder.
Physicians, including child psychiatrists, have only recently begun to recognize bipolar disorder in our younger population. It has been estimated that nearly
1 million children and adolescents in the United States are affected by this serious depressive disorder and through the efforts of the
TriState Support Network for Families with Bipolar Children, we hope to offer support to those who are raising and loving family members who have been affected by
early onset bipolar disorder. We provide opportunities for participants
to share personal experiences, thoughts, and feelings in small,
confidential gatherings and offer a friendly and safe place for
the exchange of experiences, resources, and information.
